Q: LiFePO4 cells are rated for charging down to 0°C. What is the result of charging below this temperature?
A: This is not allow to charged below 0°C. Under low temperature charging, the Lithium simplex deposits, impaired cycle life and increased risk of thermal runaway.
Q: At what temperature is the performance reduced, and at what temperature does permanent damage result?
A: The best operation temperature is 25℃, the battery performance is affected to different degrees under other temperature,especial low temperature. Low temperature affects positive and negative electrodes, electrolyte and adhesives of LiFePO4 batteries.
As the temperature decreases, the average discharge voltage and discharge capacity of the lithium-ion battery decrease. Especially
when the temperature is -20 ° C, the discharge capacity and average discharge voltage of the battery decrease rapidly.
Less than -20℃ and higher than 70℃ operating will cause the permanent damage. Please follow the operating temperature as below:
Charge: 0~45℃, Discharge: -20~60℃
